Viv DAVIS welcomes you to the home page of Tamesis Golden
Retrievers. My kennel prefix 'Tamesis' was the original name of the
River Thames in London which I felt appropriate having lived and
worked in London for many years.
I
first fell in love with this beautiful breed when visiting my parents who had
a golden called 'Shireen'
and my sister had another girl called 'Farah'.
On
returning to Melbourne I started my passion with this breed which
resulted in me moving to my current home in Romsey where I live on
an acre on the edge of town with Angel, Phoebe, Silk, Saab and
Rosie, my loved companions. I have competed both in showing and
obedience with my dogs and have achieved titles in both disciplines.
All my
goldens are x-rayed for hip & elbow dysplasia ,have current eye
certificates and hearts certificates carried out by
specialists in theses fields. My aim is to produce Golden
Retrievers of sound temperament for loving family pets.
Currently I hold my license to judge the Gundog Group at Open level
and am striving towards my Championship License.
I am a
member of the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria, the Victorian
Canine Association, the U.K. Golden Retriever Club and a
committee member of the Victorian Women's Dog Club.
